Mayfield Primary School Remote Learning Provision Statement

In these rapidly ever-changing times, we need to be prepared for our children having to isolate and still being able to access provision to aid their learning. In order to ensure that learning is continued, irrespective of any local or national lockdowns or periods of self-isolation, Mayfield Primary School has developed the following plan. This plan offers a meaningful, ambitious and sequenced blend of online, paper-based and practical learning opportunities that are age appropriate and aligned to the Mayfield Curriculum, in which sits the National Curriculum. We will provide children and parents with frequent and clear expectations in planned daily programmes that are aligned closely to the learning they would receive in school.

The main platforms that will be used to facilitate home learning will be Purple Mash, Oak Academy, in some instances Microsoft Teams sessions, and the school website.

The school will work with parents to ensure all pupils have access to the remote learning provided by the school.

This plan will be applied in the following instances:

  1. An individual is self-isolating because of a positive test within the household;
  2. A group of children are self-isolating as close contacts of a positive case;
  3. A whole bubble or cohort is self-isolating as close contacts of a positive case.
  4. The plan complies with the expectations and principles outlined in the DFE document Guidance for Full Opening of Schools
