Year Six

Welcome to our Year 6 class page! I am Miss Davys and I will be your child’s class teacher this year! We are also lucky enough to have the wonderful Mrs Howard and Miss Wild supporting our class this year too. They will be working with targeted groups of children and leading interventions to ensure children are as prepared as possible for their SATs in May. Your child will also be taught by Mr Choudhury on Thursday and Friday afternoons, who will also be focused on providing SATs preparation for Year 6.

We have already made a great start in Year 6 and I feel extremely lucky to be teaching such a wonderful class in their final year at Mayfield. The children have started the year with a mature attitude and they certainly seem more than ready for the Year 6 challenge – I can already tell we are going to have a brilliant year!

Please keep checking back on this page for updates and further information. Due to Year 6 being able to walk home from school, I appreciate you won’t always be able to speak to me at the door. However, please be rest assured that I will contact you if I ever need to speak to you, and I am also available via telephone (please contact the school office) if you wish to speak to me regarding your child. 

I look forward to working with you and your children this year. I am sure this is just the start of what will be a very bright year and future for Year 6!
