Year Three

Welcome to Year Three!

Hello, we are Mr Riley (3ER) and Miss Timperley (3ET), we will be teaching your children this year. In Year 3 we are so lucky to have working alongside the classes our teaching assistant Mrs Gee. We also have the wonderful Mr Choudhury working with us on a Monday in 3ER and on a Wednesday in 3ET. We are super excited about the children joining KS2 this year and all the work ahead for them!  

We are sure this year will be fantastic and filled with even more Mayfield Magic Moments. 

This year we will be exploring everything from the Stone Age to the Egyptians, Light, Plants and Animals, Forces and Volcanoes! We can’t wait to show you all our amazing work and we hope you enjoy looking through our photos on Twitter and seeing what we have been up to! 

To help with learning, children have home learning to complete. Children should choose a homework activity, from their homework grid, one from English and one from Maths, to complete each week. This must be completed alongside practising their weekly spellings. Children will be bringing home reading books that can be returned and changed at school once finished and a comment written in the Reading Record book. Homework books should be brought in once a week on a Friday and will be marked and celebrated in class, at the end of the term there will be prizes and certificates.  

We are both always available if you wish to discuss anything regarding your child, please do not hesitate to catch us at the start or end of the school or make an appointment by contacting the school office.
