Pupil Premium – Including Recovery Premium

Pupil premium funding is made available to schools where they can demonstrate that a pupil meets one of the following criteria:

  • They are in receipt of free school meals or have been in receipt of free school meals during the previous 6 years.
  • They are in local authority care.
  • They have been adopted from care or have left care.
  • Their parents are currently in or have served in the armed services in the previous 6 years.

This funding is then used by the school to help support the learning and welfare of children.

In many instances, this funding would be used to support the offer of extended pastoral care, mentoring or more targeted learning interventions where this is deemed appropriate. If you believe that your child is eligible for pupil premium funding and this information has not been passed to the school, please contact us.

The full breakdown of how we use this funding is detailed in our Pupil Premium Strategy.
