Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.

Mayfield Primary School caters for pupils aged 3-11, located in Derker near to the centre of Oldham. Our Academy is part of the Cranmer Education Trust and caters for over 240 pupils. We are a vibrant and inclusive community, and our skilled and dedicated staff work hard to provide a wide range of educational experiences for the children in a safe and stimulating environment.

As an Academy we are responsible for arranging our own transfers. If you would like your child to move to our school please contact Mrs Carroll, our Business Manager, who will be able to provide you with the details of the places available and the process of transferring schools. If we do not have a place, your child will be placed on our waiting list and we will contact you when one becomes available.

The Government funds 15 hours a week for all children in the term following their 3rd birthday.  Admission dates are September, January and April. You may add your child to our waiting list at anytime before this date by coming into school and completing a registration form.

30 hours funded places are available for working parents who meet the Government criteria.  Additional sessions can be purchased for £12 a day or £50 per week.

Oldham Authority is responsible for allocating a reception place for your child.   Applications are made online between 1st September and mid January of the year prior to them starting in September.  This can be accessed through the following link:
